Fields And Definitions
Fields And Definitions:
Purchase By Unit: The default ordering unit configured for a specific product at a particular location. Orders placed or calculated will automatically round up to match this increment (e.g., Case, Layer, Pallet).
Forecast Method / Monthly Forecast Method: The statistical formula or model used to calculate future sales predictions for a specific location.
Exclude Backorder: A toggle that, when enabled, excludes backordered items from historical calculations so they do not artificially skew the generated forecast.
Forecast Percent (%): An adjustment rate applied to the calculated forecast to manually scale predictions up or down.
Sales Period / Trend Period (By Week or Month): The specified historical timeframe used as the baseline for analyzing sales trends.
Model Forecast Product: A reference product assigned to a location to serve as a forecast guide when historical data for the primary product is unavailable or limited.
Best Practices
Commit Your Changes: Always click Save or Refresh Data on the main forecasting page after closing configuration popups. If you reload the page or navigate away before doing so, your changes will not be saved to the database.
