Fields And Definitions

Remote Check Capture: The processing option that allows physical check images to be scanned and submitted electronically for invoice settlement.

Payment Pending: The temporary status assigned to a transaction immediately after submission while check verification is underway.

Settled: The status indicating that the check processing and verification completed successfully and payment has been posted to the ledger.

Best Practices

Ensure check images are captured in a well-lit area on a solid, contrasting background so that all four corners and the bottom MICR line (routing and account numbers) are sharp and readable.

Confirm that the total payment amount entered exactly matches the written check amount prior to submission to avoid transaction rejections or delays.
