Steps
On-the-go access to sales reports empowers you with real-time performance insights and customer data, enabling you to make smarter decisions and drive more sales in the field. There are two places to access reports from Encompass Mobile. Event View and the Customer Dashboard.
Market This is a similar report to the Market Analysis report we just saw in the Product Detail screen. However, this version is more detailed and has some added functionality that the Product Detail version does not have.
Market Analysis
1. Customer Count - This controls how many customers you want to report on.
For example, the 20 closest customers to the customer you are working with.
2. Customer Types - This filter allows you to toggle between which customers to report on in close proximity. You can either choose to report on only customers that have the same Customer Type as your current Customer, or all customer types.
For example, if you're working with a Liquor Store, you may only want to compare sales with other Liquor Stores instead of a big box store down the street.
3. Months - This allows you to report on sales data from a selected number of months in the past.
4. Show Distribution Voids Only - Controls which products to report on. This is helpful to see where similar customers in close proximity are seeing high sales of products that your customer does not sell.
When set to False, both products the current customer purchases and products they do not purchase are included.
When set to True, only products that are not currently being purchased by your customer are displayed. Show Distribution Voids Only
5. Columns - allows you to choose what data you want displayed in the columns of the report.
6. Once you've set all of the desired filters and display settings, tap Create Report.
7. Two of the columns of this report have additional functionality.
Customer Count column represents how many customers are buying the product in that row. This is a hyperlink. When tapping on a Customer Count, a drill down of that product will display. This shows the specific customers purchasing the selected product.
Shopping Cart column allows you to quickly add products your customer is not buying, to their Shopping Cart. There are two buttons you'll see here: View, and Add. When the View button is displayed, this indicates that the customer already buys this product so it cannot be added to the Shopping Cart. When the Add button is displayed, this indicates that this is a product your customer is not currently buying. Tapping the Add button automatically adds the product in the row to their shopping cart.
Sales Report
The next type of report is the Sales Report. This report works very similar to a Sales Comparison report you may see on the Encompass Server or in your Saved Reports.
1. Filters and Display - You also have the ability to adjust filters and display settings for this report.
2. Comparison/Distribution - Controls how you want to compare the sales in your report. For example, compare the sales from this year and last year, or this month and last month.
You also have the ability to run distribution reports instead of a sales comparison. The distribution reports detail Buyers and New placements for the period you select.
3. Value - Controls what value to display in the report. Either Case Equivs or Cases.
4. Group By Parent - Sets how you want to group together the Value you selected. For example, group the Case sales by the Customers who purchased them.
5. Group By Child - The option that shows "None", is an additional GroupBy setting. This creates a smaller grouping underneath your parent grouping.
For example, group the case sales by customer first, then under each customer, show the individual Products they purchased to make up their Case count. This is also referred to as a Child GroupBy and is an optional display setting.
6. Customer Filter - There are 4 options to choose from. By default, this is set to only report on your current customer's sales. You can also choose to report on all customers you have access to, all customers that you are assigned to, or compare your customer's sales to a similar customer.
7. Once you've set the Filters and Display options, tap Create Report.
Saved Reports
This tab gives access to the Saved Reports dashboard on the Encompass server. Here you can select a report you've built or saved on the server and view it right from your handheld.
The report will open on the Server but you will stay right in the Encompass Mobile app. This is a great option when you or your manager has created a more complex or detailed report that can't be created in the Market Analysis or Sales tabs. This works just like the server so you can adjust filters, groupings and other settings right from this view.
