Minimum Version Required: 26.06
Pre-Conditions
Access to Warehouse Management System (WMS) table configurations is required. This is controlled by Locations.MultipleBinInventory = True.
Steps
Automatically running pick rules updates the pick-pending bin allocations on invoice transactions throughout the day. This ensures that directed replenishment can generate warehouse tasks earlier and with greater accuracy.
To configure automated pick rule processing:
Navigate to the Auto Run Apply Pick Rules table.
Select or add a record for the desired warehouse Location.
Set the Auto Run Apply Pick Rule setting to True to enable automation.
Enter the look-ahead window (in number of days) in the Load Sheet Days in Advance field.
To limit the automation to specific deliveries, navigate to the associated subtables and add restricted Route Types or Customer Pick Types. If left empty, all routes and pick types for the location will be processed.
Save the configuration. The system will automatically execute the pick rules every 30 minutes for eligible load sheets.
Fields And Definitions
Location: The warehouse site where the automated pick rule process will execute.
Auto Run Apply Pick Rules: A table that activates (True) or suspends (False) the automated 30-minute background job for the selected location.
Load Sheet Days in Advance: The number of days forward from the current date that the system will search for load sheets to process. For example, a value of 2 will process load sheets scheduled up to two days ahead.
Route Types: An optional subtable selection used to limit the automation to specific delivery routes. Leaving this empty applies the rule to all routes.
Customer Pick Types: An optional subtable selection used to limit the automation to specific customer classifications. Leaving this empty applies the rule to all customer pick types.
Best Practices
Optimize Data Volume: Set the Load Sheet Days in Advance lookup window to the minimum required period (such as 1 or 2 days) to prevent processing excessive amounts of future data and to protect system performance.
Leverage Specific Restrictors: Utilize the Route Type and Customer Pick Type subtables to target only the segments of your business that actively benefit from automated replenishment visibility.
