Minimum Version Required: 25.10
Pre-Conditions
Users must have the necessary permissions to access and modify the Suggested Order Configuration or Suggested Order Overrides settings.
Steps
This configuration provides greater control over how the OrderIQ system suggests order quantities. It allows you to enforce case-unit rounding for automated order suggestions, even for products that are not flagged as "Sell By Case Only". This is useful when you want to encourage full-case orders through automated suggestions while still allowing sales representatives the flexibility to manually sell individual units when required.
To use this setting:
Navigate to the Suggested Order Configuration or Suggested Order Overrides table.
Locate or add a new configuration rule for the desired scope (e.g., a specific product, product type, or customer).
Set the Force_to_Case parameter to "True" for that rule.
When this parameter is enabled, any order quantities predicted by the OrderIQ algorithm for the products matching that rule will be automatically rounded up to the nearest whole case unit.
Fields And Definitions
Force_to_Case: A parameter that dictates the rounding behavior for suggested order quantities.
True: Forces the system to round all suggested quantities up to the nearest whole case. This overrides the product's individual "Sell By Case Only" setting for automated suggestions.
False (or blank): The system will use the default rounding logic, which is typically based on the product's "Sell By Case Only" setting.
Best Practices
Apply this setting at the product type level (e.g., for all wine and spirits) to standardize automated ordering for entire categories while maintaining sales flexibility.
Use this setting on a customer-specific basis for accounts that have a preference or requirement for receiving shipments in full-case quantities.
This provides a way to align automated suggestions with warehouse picking and shipping efficiencies without restricting the sales team from accommodating special requests for individual units.
