Minimum Version Required: 26.02

Pre-Conditions

1. The MerchSync application must be installed.

2. Users must be assigned the appropriate dashboard roles

Steps

MerchSync Manager Dashboard

1. Open the dashboard to view all active merchandising routes for the current day. By default, the system displays routes filtered by your assigned location.

  • To access the dashboard from Encompass Mobile, click on the grey MerchSync Manager button on the home page.

2. Use the search box and filter bar to find specific merchandising routes, individual users, or customer locations.

3. Monitor the status of each route to identify progress, such as "Not Departed," "On Time," or specific durations of lateness or early arrival.

4. Review the "Route Conflicts" section to identify efficiency gaps, such as instances where a merchandiser is waiting for a delivery to be completed at a customer site.

5. Use the integrated map to track the last known location of each user. Markers on the map display the route number; you can hover over a marker to see the user's name and stop execution progress.

6. Click on any route to highlight the location on the map and open the detail sidebar.

7. In the detail sidebar, view chronological stop data including service times and associated delivery information.

8. Modify the daily schedule as needed by adding new events, deleting existing ones, or moving a stop to a different user to balance the workload.

  • Moving events: Move a customer's event from one user to another by clicking the move icon

    .
This will open the 'Move Event To New User' prompt where users can select or search for users to move the event to.

  • Add Merchandiser: Click on the overflow icon

and select 'Add merchandiser' add an additional user to a customer. This will create a new event for the select user.

  • Delete Event: Select the 'Delete event', from the overflow icon to delete a customer's event from the user.

Also, know that the MerchSync Manager dashboard is also accessible from server by search for 'MerchSync Manager' in the unified searchbox.

Fields And Definitions

1. Route Conflicts: Alerts that appear when a merchandiser and a delivery driver are not synchronized at a customer location. This includes estimated waiting times to help managers make adjustment decisions.

2. Execution Status: A numerical representation (e.g., 2/10) showing the number of stops completed versus the total number of stops planned for that route.

3. Start Time Actual: The time a merchandiser arrives at a stop, captured when a device enters the customer's geofence

4. End Time Actual: The time a merchandiser departs from a stop, captured when a device leaves the customer's geofence

5. Other Routes: Information regarding delivery routes or other events occurring at the same customer location, including the associated user, estimated arrival time, and total case counts for pending invoices.

6.Route Conflicts (Estimated Min Waiting): Routes where the delivery driver is at the customer, but the merchandiser is not at the customer, or vice versa. For example: delivery driver is at a customer (start time actual 10:00 AM, end time actual is blank); mechandiser is not at customer, start time and end time actual are both blank; current time is 10:30 AM

Estimated min waiting will display as “Driver waiting 30 min”

Best Practices

1. Actively monitor route conflicts to identify merchandisers who are stalled. Moving events between users in real-time can prevent significant delays in the daily schedule.

2. Use the map marker execution data to quickly identify which routes are falling behind without opening individual detail panels.

3. Regularly review "Service Time" in the detail sidebar to understand how long specific tasks take at different customer locations, which can help in refining future route planning.
