User Management Navigation

2.Use the filter section at the top to narrow down the list by 'Customer, Retailer ID, Specific User, or Email'.

3.Click Search to populate the table or Clear All to reset filters.

4. To grant a new individual access to the platform, click the Invite User button.

5. Edit Records:

  • User Records: Click the Pencil Icon next to a specific user's name to modify their Role, Email, or Account Status.

  • Customer Records: Click the Pencil Icon located in the gray header row (next to the Customer/Retailer ID) to update that customer's Business Name.

6.Use the Unlink icon to remove the connection between a specific user and the retail location.

7.Select "Excel" or "CSV" and click Export to download the current view.

Fields And Definitions

  • Role: The permission level assigned to the user within DSDLink.

    • 0) Retailer Inactive: Removes access for a user for all of DSDLink. Note: Not recommended as this impacts their ability to order from all distributors.

    • 1) Retailer View Products, Enter Orders: User can build a cart and enter items, but cannot officially place/submit the order.

    • 2) Retailer Role 1 + Submit Orders: User can build, enter, and officially submit orders.

    • 3) Retailer Role 2 + User Management: The default role for most users. Includes all ordering permissions plus the ability to manage other users under their business.

  • Password Expiration Date: The date the user will be prompted to update their security credentials.

  • Account Status: Indicates if the user has login privileges (Active) or is restricted (Inactive).

    • Note: Inactivating a user impacts their single profile across all of their distributors. Use with extreme discretion—typically only if the user is no longer with the business entirely.

Best Practices

  • Both Unlinking a user and changing their Account Status have global effects.

    • Unlinking: Removes the user's connection to that retail business entirely, meaning they lose access to all distributors tied to that specific business.

    • Inactivating: Disables the user's login for the entire DSDLink platform.

  • If a retailer reports they suddenly cannot place orders, check their Role level first. Because Role 3 users can manage themselves, they occasionally inadvertently downgrade their own role to Level 1, removing their own ability to submit orders.
