Customer is configured for OrderIQ
Understanding of customer's delivery schedule and stop frequency
Steps
Configuring Order Size Splitting:
1. Navigate to the customer's Suggested Order Configuration
2. Set the OrderSize field to define how the weekly forecast should be split
3. Format: Use semicolon-separated decimal values (e.g., "0.4;0.6")
Example: "0.5;0.5" = 50% of weekly forecast on first stop, 50% on second stop
Example: "0.3;0.3;0.4" = 30%, 30%, 40% split across three stops
The values should sum to 1.0 (100%)
Configuring Rounding:
4. Set RoundThreshold to control when quantities round up vs down
Example: 0.5 means 2.5 units rounds to 3, but 2.4 rounds to 2
Lower threshold = more aggressive rounding up
Higher threshold = more conservative rounding
5. Enable ForceToCase if the customer requires full case quantities only
This converts unit suggestions to case quantities before rounding
6. Enable EnableLayerRound for accounts ordering by pallet layer
Uses the product's RetailCasesPerLayer or CasesPerLayer setting
Rounds to complete layers based on PromptOrderLayerThreshold
Fields And Definitions
Order Size: Semicolon-separated split ratios that must sum to 1.0 (or close to it)
Round Threshold: Value between 0 and 1 determining the rounding cutoff point
Force To Case: Boolean - when true, converts all suggestions to case units
Enable Layer Round: Boolean - when true, applies layer-based rounding after standard rounding
Split Sequence: Which stop in the delivery week (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.)
Split Count: Total number of stops in the delivery week for this customer
Best Practices
For customers with a single weekly stop, use "1.0" as the OrderSize
For customers with multiple weekly stops, align the split ratios with actual delivery patterns
If customers frequently adjust quantities up, consider lowering the RoundThreshold
Use ForceToCase for customers who only accept full cases
Configure product-level or product type-level overrides in SuggestedOrderLimitations when different products need different rounding rules
Layer rounding works best for products with consistent layer configurations in the system
