Steps
To quickly analyze data within the Forecast dashboard, you can sort and filter the grid directly without needing to refresh the page.
Navigate to the Forecast dashboard.
To sort data, click on a column header. The first click sorts in ascending order, and a second click sorts in descending order.
To filter data, click on a column header and enter a value in the text box.
You can apply multiple filters across different columns simultaneously to refine your view.
When sorting on a column when multiple locations are displayed, the min or max (depending on sort direction) value for each product/location will be placed at the top or bottom.
For example, using the data in the table below:
Product | Location | DOI |
Product 1 | Location A | 42 |
Location B | 22 | |
Product 2 | Location A | 35 |
Location B | 32 | |
Product 3 | Location A | 21 |
Location B | 22 |
Sorting the DOI column in ASC order will display as follows:
Product | Location | DOI |
Product 3 | Location A | 21 |
Location B | 22 | |
Product 1 | Location B | 22 |
Location A | 42 | |
Product 2 | Location B | 32 |
Location A | 35 |
Sorting the DOI column in DESC order will display as follows:
Product | Location | DOI |
Product 1 | Location A | 42 |
Location B | 22 | |
Product 2 | Location A | 35 |
Location B | 32 | |
Product 3 | Location B | 22 |
Location C | 21 |
Fields And Definitions
Different columns offer different types of sorting and filtering capabilities.
Text Fields: For columns like Product, Location, Supplier Product Num, and Product Status, you can filter using a text search.
Date Fields: The Next Receive Date column allows filtering using a date selection calendar.
Numeric Fields: All numeric columns (e.g., Start Inventory, DOI, Lead Time Days) can be filtered using comparison operators such as equals (=), does not equal (<>), greater than (>), or less than (<).
Unsupported Columns: The following columns do not support sorting or filtering: Forecast %, Memo, Audit, and Supplier Product Name.
Best Practices
Combine multiple filters to efficiently narrow down your data. For instance, you can filter for a specific Location and then sort by DOI to quickly identify products with the lowest inventory at that facility.
