Steps

How to Update a Customer Geocode Location

1. Using the Universal Search, navigate to the "Customer Search" dasboard.

2. Search for the intended customer using the filter criteria.

3. Click Search.

4. Arrow into the customer record.

5. Click the Map button.

6. This brings users to the interactive map with the customer’s map points showing.

7. Either drag/drop the pin to the new location or type in an address in the address bar to update the Geocode Location.

Note: This is useful when the customer has a different delivery location than their regular office location.

8. Click Save.

9. This brings users back to the Customer’s record. The longitude and latitude points will update and the GPS Accuracy field will change to Manually Set.

Note: Setting GPS Accuracy to "Manually Set" creates a manual override, stopping the API_1069 from automatically updating this information

Fields And Definitions

Customers table - Displays customer specific information

Geocoding dashboard - Mapped visualization of different physical boundary areas

Customer Geocode dashboard - Displays list of customers by Location and GEOCode Status

Best Practices

Remember to check the Customer Geocode Dashboard regularly to make sure all customers have the correct Geocode locations. This is usually focused on more during setup

The boundary assignments are typically used for reporting and analysis; boundaries do not dictate route creation.
