Minimum Version Required: 22.05

Pre-Conditions

  • Site is a Production site that has Batch Management and Batch Processing turned on (SystemSetting553=True

Steps

Creating QC Measurements

1. Navigate to the QC Measurements Table.

2. Select "Add QC Measurement".

3. Name the measurement that will be taken.

4. Set the data type to the form this measurement will be taken in.

5. Select whether this is a QC Measurement that can be applied to Production Processing (Active Production Orders) or Aging Barrels (Static Inventory).

6. Save the QC Measurement.

  • Once a QC Measurement is saved, it can be attached to specific Recipe Stages, Recipes, QC Templates or QC Lines.

  • Users will be required to enter the measurement as it was built.

Fields And Definitions

  • Measurement: the name of the measurement that operators will see

  • Data Type: How the data is allowed to be entered. example: Temperature would be an integer. Any pass/fail QC would be set to Yes/No, etc...

  • Memo: Any clarification or guidance to pass on to operators taking and entering these measurements

Best Practices

  • Grouping measurements by names makes reporting easier. For instance, "Fermentation Temperature" and "Strike Temperature" will be easier to report on if they are two different QC Measurements than if they were both "Temperature"

  • Any image-based QC (seaming or pallet checks) are best handled as attachments to the Production Stages or Batches they are a part of.

  • QC is not required to be taken by Operators. Add an instruction to each Stage that has QC reminding operators to Log QC for those stages.
