Steps

Configuring a Report in dsdlink For Suppliers:

1. Navigate to the Reporting dashboard.

2. Either select a "New Report" or one of the "Canned report" options.

  • A new report lets users set a custom time period.

3. Once a report is chosen it will run with the pre-selected filters and columns.

4. Look at the filters applied and change them to either bring in more data or exclude certain data.

5. Users can either run the report again with the new filters or adjust the layout of the report.

6. If users choose to change columns around by clicking and dragging then utilize the Parent, Child, Detail structure to optimally structure the report. This structure creates a tiered report that is generally easier to read than a flat report.

  • Values and Time Period structure can also be changed here.

7. Now that the report has been customized run the report again so that it reflects the changes.

8. Click Save Report As, choose a name, make a category, and choose the user within the organization to save the report to so they can access it. The default user is the user who is working on the report.

9. To access the saved report in the future, navigate to Reporting dashboard, and the report will be found at the bottom under "Saved Reports".

10. If users would like to export a report, Exceldownload is recommended for any report that is not flat ie. a report with parent, child, detail.

Fields And Definitions

Groupings- manipulates the report, to change the structure of the report and what values show in the report.

Filters- change the data that is shown on a report.

Unmapped Product Behavior- This can be changed to "display distributor data" if there are unmapped products that have not been created in PIM and/or not linked in the Distributors tab. This will then display the product names as they are in the distributor site.

Values- are the different amounts/quantities that users can report on, ie. Cases, Case Equivs.

Verified Sales- When this is set to True, it insures that all invoice data has been verified within the individual distributor site. Setting this to False will allow users to see non-verified data for invoices that have not yet been verified within the distributor site.
