Steps

EDBL Routines Disclaimer: This EDBL routine represents advanced functionality primarily intended for use by Encompass technical staff. While technically proficient customers may utilize these routines, please be aware that they fall outside the scope of standard support. Assistance with EDBL routines is not covered under standard support agreements and may require billable services from our Professional Services team. Please ensure you thoroughly understand this routine before implementation in your production environment

The LoadSheetLoad EDBL routine processes LoadSheets to mark them as loaded for delivery. This is typically part of the warehouse shipping workflow where a load sheet has been assembled and is ready for transport.

When executed, the routine:

  1. Identifies each LoadSheet from the import file by LoadSheetID

  2. Processes each LoadSheet to update its status

  3. If a LoadSheet has locked invoices, the routine will respect these locks and report warnings accordingly

The routine supports standard EDBL actions:

  • Add Only: Processes only LoadSheets that haven't been loaded yet

  • Update Only: Only processes existing LoadSheets

  • Add or Update: Processes all LoadSheets regardless of current status

Note that this routine operates on the LoadSheet level and doesn't modify individual invoice items or products on the LoadSheet.

Fields And Definitions

  • LoadSheetID (Integer): The unique identifier for the LoadSheet record to be loaded. This field is required for the routine to function.

Best Practices

  • Verify LoadSheets are in the appropriate status before attempting to load them

  • Review any warnings after import as they may indicate LoadSheets with locked invoices that couldn't be fully processed

  • Run this routine as part of your standard shipping workflow after LoadSheets have been prepared and verified

  • If integrating with other systems, ensure that LoadSheetIDs are synchronized correctly between systems

  • For bulk operations, consider running this routine during off-peak hours to minimize impact on warehouse operations
