Steps
1. Navigate to the Batch Management dashboard
2. Filter to the batch or production order that you need to split
3. Click Split Batch
4. Confirm the data in the dialogue is the product and stage you want to execute the split.
5. Click Split Into Equipment
6. Select the equipment you want to transfer the WIP product into
7. Enter Transfer Quantity
8. Click Split Batch to execute the transfer
Best Practices
The Split Batch functionality should be used to transfer work-in-process to different equipment.
Primary use cases are yeast propagation or to manage available tank capacity.
If a production order is being split with the intention of creating a new brand (ie: fruit or other addition); consider creating a new batch that consumes the green beer from an existing batch in order to maintain batch integrity.
