Pre-Conditions

  • This document assumes that an Acivity Objective or Objective Schedule is already set up to assign tasks to Merchandisers.

  • Two processes are outlines in this document. The traditional merchandising workflow and the streamlined workflow, Quick Replenishment. Typically only one of these is completed by a Merchandiser.

Steps

Please see the PDF tab for the full Merchandiser workflow.

Fields And Definitions

  • Traditional Merchandiser Workflow - involves creating store locations, shevles, facing and capacitites to take inventory or customer facing shelves and backstock. Involves completing 4 separate tasks per customer.

  • Quick Replenishment - a streamlined merchandising workflow that focuses less on inventory and more on empty spaces on shelves, needing replenished. Involves only 1 task to be completed per customer.

Best Practices

Choose the workflow that is best for your business and the data you'd like to track.

  • If product inventory, shelf capacity, facings or planograms are important for your tracking purposes, the Traditional workflow may be a better fit.

  • If keeping shelves stocked to full capacity is your primary goal, Quick Replenishment may be a better fit.
