Types of Comparison Reports:
Products: Allows you to analyze your product data by organizing it into parent-child relationships and displaying product counts. You can filter based on product attributes like brand and see how different product categories are distributed across other characteristics like inventory status and much more.
Customers: Similar to the Products report, this focuses on your customer data. It enables you to group customers by different attributes like assigned sales representative and view metrics such as the number of customers in each group, with the ability to filter based on customer characteristics.
Purchases: This report mirrors the Sales Comparison Report structure but focuses on your purchasing data. You can analyze vendor performance, track the quantity of goods purchased over time, or compare purchase patterns across different dimensions like vendor and month.
Pricing: This report displays all available pricing data for your products based on a selected effective date and customer. It allows you to see list prices, discounts, and calculated unit prices but reflects the basic pricing setup in the system.
InvoicePricing: This report simulates the pricing logic used when creating an actual invoice. It considers complex pricing structures and promotions, showing the final price a customer would likely pay, and can be influenced by factors like minimum purchase quantities.
AccountsReceivable: This report focuses on AR Account data such as overdue invoices or AR aging. It offers a wider range of value options compared to other comparison reports and includes specific filters for statement dates and overdue accounts.
Surveys: This unique report type allows you to analyze survey results. Survey questions become the values displayed, and you can group responses by attributes like who the survey was assigned to and the completion date, showing individual answers and customers who haven't responded.
Compound: This report combines two or more separate Comparison Reports. The Merged subtype removes the groupings from both original reports and displays them as one report, while the Tabbed subtype displays the original reports in separate tabs for side-by-side analysis.
Ranking: This report allows you to rank data based on selected columns. While its functionality overlaps with the column totals feature in standard Comparison Reports, it provides a dedicated way to identify top or bottom performers based on chosen metrics.
Data Report: This sales-focused report offers less configurability than the Sales Comparison report, lacking Child and Detail groupings and Columns. However, it provides a larger selection of fields for Parent and Values, allowing for a more extensive "data dump" of sales information to an external spreadsheet or other external reporting structure.
Discount: This simplified sales report has a pre-defined structure without customizable groupings, values, or columns. It is primarily used to analyze discount participation based on a selected time period and can be expanded to show detailed information.
