Fields And Definitions
Join - A Join is used [in SQL queries] to combine rows from two or more tables, based on a related column between them.
Inner Join - Returns the intersecting records of the left and right tables. Meaning, only records where there is a match on both tables will be returned.
Left Join - Returns everything from the left table but only data from the right that has a match in the left.
Expression Join - Gives the ability to use SQL to define how two tables are linked. There are 3 primary functions:
1. Match on multiple fields
- Example: Table1.Field1 = Table2.Field1 AND Table1.Field2 = Table2.Field2
2. Filtering data at the Join
- Using less than (<), greater than (>), equal to (=), not equal to (<>)
3. Joining on fields with different data types
- Manual or related joins only allow for joining on "like" data types (text, decimal, etc). Expression joins can be used to convert field data types.

Which Type of Join should you use? Inner or Left?
