Minimum Version Required: 24.05
Pre-Conditions
Must have ASN EDI configurations set up with Costco
Must have the ability to print pallet tags to a ZPL label printer
Steps
This article will guide a user through all the steps needed to create a separate Load Group for Costco picking so the new Costco ASN Pallet Tag template can be assigned. A new Load Group is necessary if you require separate ASN Pallet Tag formats for different customers, such as our original ASN template for Walmart and the new template for Costco.
Create a new Customer Pick Type and assigning it to Costco customers
Go to the Customer Pick Types table
Click Add Record
Name the new record “Costco”
Click Add Record
Go to the Customers table, and filter to all Costco customers
Click the Columns button at the top of the page, select the “Customer Pick Type” column and click Create View
Click on the Customer Pick Type column header to use Column Edit and fill down all customers to the new Costco customer pick type created in steps 1-4
Save Changes to complete the Customer Pick Type update
How to create a new Load Group and assign the new ASN Pallet Tag Template
Go to the Load Groups table
Filter to or arrow-into a Load Group that matches the setup you’d like Costco to mimic (recommended: any Load Group that is already set up for ASN customers)
Click on Subtables > Copy Load Groups
Update the Load Group field to a new name for this Load Group, like “Costco”
Update the ASN Pallet Tag Template field to the new Costco ASN pallet tag template
If you are not currently printing ASN tags, make sure to set the Pallet Confirmed Action field to include “Print Pallet ASN”
Deselect the option to copy related Pick Methods
Click Copy Record
How to create a new Pick Method(s) for the new Load Group
Go to the Pick Methods table
Filter to any Pick Methods that are used to pick ASN customers
Click on Subtables > Copy Pick Methods
Deselect the option to copy related Pick Rules, but keep Pick Team Pick Methods selected
Click Copy Record, then View New Records
Use Column Edit on the Pick Method column to update the Pick Method names, adding 'Costco' to the beginning, and removing any '_2'
How to create new Pick Rule(s) for the new Pick Method(s)
Go to the Pick Rules table
Filter to any Pick Rules that are used to pick ASN customers
Click on Subtables > Copy Pick Rules
Fill in the Customer Pick Type field as the Costco customer pick type created in the first section of this document
If all Pick Rules will use the same Pick Method, fill in the Pick Method field with the newly created Costco Pick Method
Click Copy Record, then View New Records
Use Column Edit on the Priority column to shift the new pick rules to slightly higher within the overall list of Pick Rules
If the new Pick Rules will use different Pick Methods, use Column Edit on the Pick Method column to assign the individual new Pick Methods as desired
Save Changes to complete the updates to the new Pick Rules

Best Practices
Do not make any changes to Pick Rules, Pick Methods, or Load Groups without first considering the greater context of those changes. The steps in this article should not be followed verbatim; make sure you are referencing current warehouse processes and pick rule configurations to properly fit any new Costco-related records into the larger workflow.
Make sure to prioritize any new pick rules so that they fit within the current picking priorities during palletization. A priority that is too high or too low may interfere with non-Costco pallets, or result in Costco pallets not being labeled properly.
Make sure new Costco Pick Methods are added to a Pick Team, that way warehouse team members are allowed to pick the pallets.
