Distributor guide to the Encompass left navigation menu options: lock the sidebar, refresh or show hidden dashboards, add favorites, full screen, share a page, set reminders and check performance. v23.01+.

Steps

1. Hover over the left-hand panel to expand the navigation menu.


2. Click the 3 vertical dots next to the Encompass logo.

  • Lock Sidebar Open - Locks sidebar open in full view to prevent needing to hover over panel to expand.

  • Refresh dashboard list - By default, Encompass shows dashboards that have been visited in the last 30 days to keep the menu focused on your frequently used activities. However, when you click the "Refresh Dashboard List" option, it will update the menu to display all dashboards you have access to, regardless of when you last visited them or shows new dashboards you've been given permission to.

  • Calendar - A quick way to access a calendar view of your activities and events.

  • Add Favorite - Allows you to save any page in the system for quick and easy access later. Favorites appear in the "Favorites" section in the left-hand menu once added.

  • Hide/Show hidden dashboards - Hides/shows dashboards that haven't been visited in the last 30 days or more.

  • Hide/Show unshared dashboards - Hides/shows dashboards that haven't been explicitly shared with your role.

  • Hide/Show dashboards from other sites - Hides/shows dashboards that don't come from the current site domain.
    ​

  • New Dashboards - Enables users to design and build new dashboards from scratch or by copying existing ones.

  • Edit Current Page - Edits the current dashboard being viewed. Permission to edit the dashboard is required. Not available for System Dashboards.

  • Start full screen mode - Allows you to expand the current view to occupy the entire screen while hiding the left-hand menu, top header bar, and expands the current dashboard or table to fill the entire screen.

  • Share current page - Share the current page you are viewing by eChat, Email, Text Message, or by coping a Quick Link.

  • Remind Me - Allows you to set reminders for specific pages or tasks within the system. Opens a pop-up where you can specify when you want to be reminded and add a memo to provide context for the reminder at A specified date and time. You'll receive an eChat message with a link to the page where you set the reminder, along with the memo you wrote.

  • Performance - Shows how the system is running and how efficiently data is being loaded in real-time. See the Page Performance/Site Slowness for more information
