Minimum Version Required: 23.01
Steps
Formats data to look like a standard date. Remember that this will still be considered a string and will sort like text instead of like a date AND that the database stores all dates/times in MST.
Syntax
DATE_FORMAT(DateTimeValue,FormatString)
Arguments
Date/DateTime:
This is the information that will be formatted as a date. It could be a date field from the database like "Locations"."TimeCreated" or it could be a string of text like '2013-12-31'
Date Format:
You shouldn't need to change this. '%m/%d/%Y' is the standard format for dates in the system. Other options are possible.
Example
DATE_FORMAT('2019-03-01', '%m/%d/%Y') = '03/01/2019'
DATE_FORMAT('2019-03-01', '%m/%d/%Y %H:%i:%s') = '03/01/2019 00:00:00'
