Steps

The Service Time Controls table is a straightforward table with three records for merchandising, delivery, and sales based on when a vehicle is within a customer's geofenced area

  • Type: Merchandiser, Delivery, or Sales: Based on the type of activity.

  • Start date: Date to start capturing service times

  • End date (optional): Date to stop capturing service times. If empty, the end date will be today's date.

For example, if a delivery vehicle has a GPS installed and the vehicle is on the the route/loadsheet, "OBD at Customer Location" time clock events will be created, which will be used to set the Delivery Average Service Time on the Customers table.

When are average service times set on customers?

There is a scheduled task named Update_CustomerAvgServiceTimes_OBD that runs nightly. This can be ran manually if a user has Gloabal Setting Edit permissions.

Can the average service times on the customer be reset?

Yes, the average service times data can be reset to no values by clearing out the Start and End Date on the Service Time Controls table.

Is the a limit on how far back the start date can be set?

Yes, average service times can be calculated for the past 365 days, with the earliest start date limited to last year. Once the start date is over a year ago, the system will keep advancing the start date to today - 365 days.

Can the average service times be set for a specific date range?

Yes. As long as the start date is within one year. For example, if today is January 1, 2025, and you wanted to have the system calculate average service times from the beginning of May through the end of September for 2024, set the start date equal to 5/1/2024 and the end date equal to 9/30/2024. Once the Update_CustomerAvgServiceTimes_OBD scheduled task runs, the update averages will be set on the customer table.

Where are the averages stored again?

Service time averages are stored on the Customers table, including the Merchandiser Average Service Time, Delivery Averages Service Time, and Sales Averages Service Time.

Are there any pre-built reports that will show average service times?

Yes. Check out the Average Service Times report on the Fleet Reports dashboard. Change the layout of the report to group by chain, customer type, customer, etc; The default start date of the report is the current week (starting Monday) and the default end date is today. Use the filters to change the start or end date as well as add additional filters.
