Steps

Table Import has timeout quotas and limitations on usage to ensure your system maintains good performance for others.

These quotas include:

  • Maximum execution time of an Import Task when run manually: 1 hour

  • Maximum execution time of an Import Task when run via scheduled task/automation: 5 minutes

Executions times include the time taken to get new data (from a report/source) and for the actual import of the data. Table Imports are stopped immediately after passing the allowed time. EDBL Imports are allowed to attempt to finish execution after the allowed time has passed, up to a maximum of 1 hour, then are stopped forcefully. The failure count is incremented anytime these routines go past the allowed timeout.

If an Import Routine runs past the allowed time, the Fail Count value will be increased by 1.

Failures will cause a delay in future executions:

  • 1 failure = automations disabled for 1 hour

  • 2 failures = automations disabled for 4 hours

  • 3-9 failures = automations disabled for 28 hours

  • 10+ failures = automations permenantly disabled

A disabled import routine can be re-enabled by manually running it again successfully (after optimizing as needed)
