Pre-Conditions
'Budnet' Suppliers Reports Records exist on the Suppliers that should report to Budnet.
Budnet_WID and Budnet_INV Exchange Configurations are set up.
Steps
Note that all BudNet files are sent automatically during the End of Day process. This Help Resource explains the process for re-sending BudNet data. Re-sending BudNet data should only need to occur if the AB team requests it.
1. Navigate to the 'BudNet' Dashboard.
2. Click the '+' sign above in the 'Wholesaler Invoice (WID) and Inventory (INV) files' section
3. Select the desired Start Date, End Date, and Distributor Number to be sent.
NOTE: Always set the End Date to the most recently closed day in your site. Sending historic, standalone dates will cause Out of Balance errors in Budnet.
4. Click 'Write File'.
Note: Based on BudNet processing times, it can take 30-60 minutes for files to be visible in BudNet.
Fields And Definitions
List of outbound BudNet file types:
VIPR - Values in Price Reporting. Contains Price-to-Retailer and Discount information so that AB can track and analyze the impact of price on sales.
RPF - Retailer Profile. Contains customer data stored in the distributor’s RAS
INV - Inventory. Contains all inventory movement data.
WID - Wholesaler Invoice Data - Contains Sales and returns (breakage, over-age, etc.) data. Since sales and returns are recorded on WID files, they are NOT included in INV files.
Best Practices
The BudNet Data Management team needs to be alerted in advance when sending BudNET data prior to the current month. They will usually be the ones to request these types of sends anyways.
