Steps

Geo Counties -

The Geo Counties is a system table containing county data of the 50 US states and the District of Columbia.

Counties -

It is recommended that you geocode all counties that you have created, meaning that you should set the Geo County. The system will create county records and assign customers to that county if there are no geocoded counties found.

Customers -

Customers must be assigned to a county. If customer is assigned to a non-geocoded county, the system will automatically update the customer and set the county to a geocoded county based on the customers longitude and latitude.

There are 2 ways to prevent the system from updating the county a customer reccord:

  1. Set the GPS accuracy equal to Manually Set on the customer

  2. Set the Geo County on the county associated to the customer

In order to have accurate customer county data, the system will create county records and assign them to customers when there are customer that have a GPS accuracy equal to Not Set, this would noramally happen when new customers are created and again, if the county set on the customer is not geocoded.
