1. Using Universal search, navigate to the Pallet Types table.
Pallet Types are the physical pallets the products will be built on. The pallet type used is determined by the load group.

3. Enter values in the fields displayed.
- Pallet Type: This is a text field to title the Pallet record
- Build Height: How high can this Pallet be built
- Width / Length: The width and length of the physical pallet
- Weight: Is used for QA ONLY. (This is included on the weight in Delivery Optimizer)
4. Click Add Record when complete.

Add Pick Rules
1. Using Universal search, navigate to the Pick Rules table.
Pick Rules determine which Pick Method will be used by looking at the Invoice Transaction. Think of them as IF-THEN statements. Example: IF the Invoice Transaction holds true for everything on the Pick Rule from Location to Bin Zone, THEN use the Pick Method on the record.
2. Click the Add Pick Rules button.
3. Enter values in the fields displayed on the Add Pick Rules form.
*Priority - This determines the order a Pick Rule is checked
Note: Pick Rules should never have the same priority
*Location - Will ONLY affect multi-location Distributorships and looks to the location on the Load Sheet
Route Type - Points to the Route’s Route Type on the Load Sheet
Customer Pick Type - Points to the Customer Record
Product Pick Type - On the Product Type or the Inventory Record. Note: A product’s Inventory record’s Product Pick Type will override the Product Type
Minimum Cases - Minimum requirement of cases to apply this pick rule. (Typically used for Bulk Picks to pick by Pallet)
Pick Unit - Determined by the Product record and is set on the Invoice Transaction when you apply Pick Rules
Close Date - Used for Close Dated Products. If this field is True the Bin Zone should be set to CLOSE DATED to ensure the products are being picked from the correct location
Bin Zone - What Bin Zone does this product live in and where does Encompass send the Pickers when this rule is applied? (IF NULL Bin Zone defaults to all Pick Zones.)
*Pick Method - How the Pick Method is tied to the Pick Rule
Oddball Bin - Used for Dynamic or Double Picking ONLY (Moving from Backstock to only one bin)
Dynamic Pick Line Bin Zone - Used for Dynamic or Double Picking Only (Moving from Backstock to Multiple Bins)
Skip - When Skip is set to True, if the inventory in a particular bin is not sufficient for palletization, this will skip over the bin with insuffiecient inventory, and move onto the next bin in the bin zone. This ignores the default logic of sending picks to bins regardless of inventory, as long as the inventory is active.
Label Printer - Indicates which APS printer box labels will print if the pick method is set to print box labels
Box Print Template - Set template for printing box labels when pick method is set to print box labels
Pick Sheet Printer - Indicates which APS printer pick sheets will print too if the pick method is set to voice pick = false
4. Click Add Record when complete.
