Warehouse user steps for creating bin lots on Encompass Mobile by moving a full pallet into a bin zone that tracks bin lots and scanning its pallet tag. Includes video; requires v23.01+.

How to Create Bin Lots

  • Bin Lot records are created when performing a "Move" in Encompass Mobile into the Bin Zone created in "How to set up Bin Zones".

1. Using Encompass Mobile, use the "Move" function.

2. Scan the "From Bin". This feature is intended to be used upon Receiving, so this will most likely be the Receiving bin, but Bin Lots will be created whenever a pallet is moved in or out of the Bin Zones initially created.

3. Select a product in the "From Bin". Check that an entire pallet is about to be moved.
​
4. Select a Bin inside the Bin Zone that has "Track Bin Lots" set to Yes, initially set up in “How to set up Bin Zones.” A prompt will appear to scan the Pallet Tag for the Pallet that is being moved.

5. After the Pallet Tag is scanned, a Bin Lot will be created on the Bin Lots table.

​ Note: This action will also occur in Directed Replenish and Directed Inventory.
