What is Skills Kickstart at Encompass?
What is the Skills Kickstart series?
The Skills Kickstart is a series of live webinars designed to train and inform Encompass users about our platform. This training program is crafted for users who are new to their role or company and are keen to delve into topics specifically relevant to them. Whether you're starting a new job or transitioning within your current organization, these sessions provide targeted insights and knowledge essential for navigating and utilizing Encompass.
Who should attend the sessions?
These sessions are intended for people who are new to using Encompass or new to using a specific feature set in Encompass. Think about the Warehouseman who moves into a team lead role - they'd need to know different reports, dashboards, and tools than they did before. Or think about a newly hired Sales Rep or Accountant who has never worked on Encompass before. These trainings are designed to provide introductory information for those employees on the core features they may use on a day to day basis as a complement to the onboarding you're providing.
Do I have to attend the whole series?
No! While the information does build to a certain degree as we go through it, you do not have to sign up for every session offered in Skills Kickstart. We encourage you to attend just the sessions that are most relevant to you and your role.
What if I am unable to attend a session?
All the recordings will be posted in the Recording Archive so you will have an opportunity to review this content on-demand. Additionally, this series will repeat every 6 months, so if you missed a session and want to attend live next time, you haven't missed your chance. Keep an eye on the eLearning dashboard for it to come around again.
What are Featured Courses?
Featured Courses are the content that is most relevant at specific times of the year - topics like "Preparing 1099 Data in Encompass" is best presented in January, not July because that is when Accounting teams are preparing to file 1099 forms to the IRS. Or "Pricing and Promotion Management" is best at the end of the year when you know the pricing is going to change for certain Brands in predictable ways in the following year. These courses don't fall within a twice-yearly recurring cadence but we still want to offer this content at times that make sense with your seasonal workflows.
