Minimum Version Required: 22.01

Pre-Conditions

  • Only Encompass Financials customers will be able to import their own Journal Entries

Steps

These fields are required:

  • TxnID: This is what will group all your transactions into one JE. Unique per day

  • Date: Date of the transaction

  • AccountID or AccountID_Translation: AccountID_Translation will create a new Account if the translation does not exist for this EDBL Source

  • CompanyID or CompanyID_Translation: CompanyID_Translation will not generate a new Company.

  • Credit and Debit OR JournalEntriesAmount: You can either provide just a credit, debit, or the JournalEntriesAmount (either credit or debit)

The Memo field and any custom fields can be mapped optionally. Using these fields, create an EDBL import routine with an EDBL destination table of JournalEntries (no space) with an import action of Add Only.

  • The Journal Entry will be created in Verified status.

  • Inventory and Retained Earnings accounts can only be updated through imported Journal Entries.
