Pre-Conditions
Encompass Mobile is downloaded on a mobile device.
The product has been received into the warehouse through the Receiving functionality.
Steps
How to use Put Away
1. Using Encompass Mobile, tap the Warehouse Icon.
2. Tap Log in to Warehouse link.
3. Under the Move section, tap Put Away
.4. Select the Receiving Bin.
5. There are three options when locating a product to be put away:
a. Tap Show Products to display all products within the Receiving Bin.
b. Scan the pallet tag/UPC.
c. Type in Product number or name, then tap the magnifying glass icon to search.
6. Tap on the Product to be put away.
7. Enter the quantity to be put away.
8. Tap Next.
9. Scan or type the Bin name to put the Product into or choose from the list of Bins displayed.
10. Once put away is complete, the product will remain in the bin selected until being picked or moved.
Best Practices
All products have been received before performing a Put Away.
If a product is Put Away in the wrong bin, use the Move function to move the product from bin to bin.
Products should not be left in the Receiving bin as this bin cannot be picked from. Performing the Put Away ensures the pickers can pick that product to fulfill upcoming orders.
