Pre-Conditions
System Setting 581 must be set to 'Scheduler'. GeneralAccountingEdit permission is required to updated this System Setting.
Be advised that due to data structure changes and other complexities, this setting cannot be reverted back to the Phase 4 option once it is changed.
Steps
Scheduler Route Phasing
Industry phasing has typically been a 4-week cycle. To keep up with trends, feedback, and other requirements, Encompass now has a 'Scheduler' phasing option available.
Setting 581, Route System Phase Type
The additional route phasing options are made available by System Setting 581.
Updating this setting from 'Phase 4' to 'Scheduler', allows phasing to be every week to every 16 weeks.
2. Routes Table - Frequency
The frequency options on the Routes table are more restrictive with only Manual, Weekly, and Monthly options available.
The Frequency options for Every Other, Every Third, and Every Fourth, are now available on the Stops table instead.
3. Stops Table - Phase
The Phase column will remain visible on the Stops table, but it will serve only as a reference.
The "phasing" is now controlled by the 'Repeat Every' field on the Stops table.
4. Stops Table Changes - Start On Date
The Start On Date field determines when the Stop will begin.
When Setting 581 is set to 'Scheduler', the Start On Date will automatically be updated using the previous phasing dates.
The Start On Date field also allows for the service of new Stops to begin on a future date.
5. Stops Table Changes - Repeat Every
The Repeat Every field replaces the functionality of the Phase field.
When Setting 581 is set to 'Scheduler', the Repeat Every field is updated based on the Phase column.
a. Phase 'All' stops will be Repeat Every 1.
b. Phase 1&3 or 2&4 stops will be Repeat Every 2.
c. Phase 1, 2, 3, and 4 only stops will be Repeat Every 4.
d. Stops can also be updated manually to Repeat Every 1 to 16 weeks, or every 1 to 16 months, depending on the Frequency setting of the Route.
6. Stops Table Changes - Week of Month
For Routes that have a Frequency of Monthly, the Week of Month field can be set to First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Last Week.
