Fields And Definitions

  • Detailed Inventory - Allows users to take separate inventory for a product in displays, backstock, or shelves. Inventory recorded in this view is automatically summed when synced to the server. Inventory history cannot be viewed in Detail view.

Best Practices

  • Inventory history is displayed in Encompass Mobile on the Product Detail screen, the Customer History table, and the Store Depletions table.

  • Once Detailed Inventory view is toggled on, it is displayed for all products and Inventory can be recorded from the Usual Products screen as well as the Product Detail screen.

  • If Inventory is recorded in the Detailed Inventory view, then the Detail option is toggled off, all Detailed Inventory is automatically summed for each product.

  • After the input box gains focus and starts typing, regardless of whether editing is actually performed, the following processing will be performed each time the input box loses focus:

    1. Remove the 0 at the end of the decimal place, for example 0.03200 -> 0.032

    2. The Inventory value retains 6 decimal places. The rules are as follows:
      0.0000355 -> 0.000035
      0.0000356 -> 0.000036

    3. If Inventory < 0, then Inventory = 0

    4. After these three steps, compare the calculated Inventory with the Inventory in the database
      If they are the same, no action is taken.
      If they are different, save inventory and upload.
