Steps
Alternate Locations can is the ability to pick out of one location for customer that belong to or serviced out of another location. This can also be referred to as cross-dock functionality.
As of now, there are two "options" when using Alternate Locations. Both options are reallly picking orders for a differenent location from the customer's location, but there are some big differences as described below.
Option 1: "Pick From" Alternate Location:
Pick From is turned on by Setting 555
Customer can have part of an invoice picked from the alternate location
Driver only has one invoice to delivery
System will create an "Alternate Location Transfer" invoice and purchase to keep inventory accurate in both the alternate location and satellite locations
Invoices are on the satellite location's loadsheet / route
Option 2: "Delivery From" Alternate Location
Setting 555 if false
Customer's invoice will be split based on products that are to be picked from the alternate location
Driver has two invoices to delivery
Invoices will be on alternate location loadsheets / routes and the satellite locations / routes
