Pre-Conditions
dsdlink Service Level must have dsdlink enabled per Location. The Service Level can only be set by Encompass Support.
Steps
1. Sign in to dsdlink as a Distributor IT Contact or Distributor Marketing role (current Distributor IT Contact users can setup additional IT Contact or Marketing roles, or reach out to Encompass Support for help in setting up these roles).
2. Navigate between Scheduled (upcoming), Active, or Completed tab to view related Advertisements. Users can filter to the desired Location(s) next to the search bar. The Ads Schedule Start/End Dates will determine which of these three tabs the Ad is on.
3. To add a new Advertisement, click 'Add new advertisement'.
4. There are two options to add an Advertisement:
a) Supplier created ads- Suppliers are able to create their own Advertisements for use by their distributors. If your suppliers have created Advertisements, then you will see them in the Advertisement Content section after clicking 'Add new advertisement'. Suppliers will have already added the image, description, and products.
b) Upload your own- After clicking 'Add new advertisement', click the 'Upload your own' button. This will allow you to upload your own image, description, and products.
5. If using option a, then move on to schedule. If using option b, then you will need to add at least 1 product, but 3 or more is recommended. Products can be dragged and dropped in any desired order to display the product cards in the same order on the advertisement.
6. The next step is to schedule your Advertisement. Set a Start/End Date, and your Advertisement will run on the specified dates.
7. The final step is targeting. You can filter your Advertisements to focus on specific groups of customers based on Location, Trade Channel, Chains, and Premise (On, Off, or Both).
8. Click the 'Create Advertisement' button, and dsdlink will do the rest.
Note 1: Check back into the dashboard to see how the Advertisement is performing. These metrics can be viewed next to the Advertisement on the relevant Scheduled, Active, or Completed tab.
Note 2: Customers will only be able to see Advertisements that they are authorized to purchased and at least one of the Ads Products are in stock.
