Omni-Filters for Dashboards

Distributor steps for adding an Omni-Filter (Filters widget) to an Encompass dashboard so one set of pinned filters filters every report on the page at once. Requires v23.01+.

Pre-Conditions

Reports to be added to the dashboard and filtered will need to be created first.

Steps

  1. Create your reports that you would like to be displayed on the dashboard

  2. Add them to the dashboard

  3. Add a 'Filters' widget to the dashboard

  4. Select the filters you would like to use from your reports (pinned filters only will be options), or create a custom filter (must match the name of the report filters exactly)
    ​

  5. Save the dashboard

  6. Use the new filters to filter all of the reports on this dashboard at the same time
    ​

Best Practices

Filter options for Omni-Filters will only list pinned filters from Fusion reports on the page.

Or you can add an exact-text-match to a comparison filter or table view column to filter comparison reports/table views on the page as well.
