Steps
Common Accounts Receivable Close Errors and how to troubleshoot them:
Can not balance Journal Entry because the Company on the Journal Entry record does not match the Company on the Account for every Journal Entry Trans record:
Click the View transactions with mis-matched Accounts hyperlink on the error message
This will take you to the Journal Entry Trans table and show all Journal Entry Trans where the Account's Company does not match the Journal Entry's Company
Click the hyperlink in the Detail column to view a report detailing which transaction(s) are causing the misalignment
If the Memo field is Asset or DepositAsset, go to Inventory Asset Account Maps to update, or add, necessary Account Mapping
If the Memo field is AccountsRec, confirm the AR Account on the transaction(s) are correct
If so, go to AR Account Maps to update Account Mapping
If not, set the AR Account on the transaction(s) to the proper AR Account
If the Memo field is anything else, the hyperlinked report in the Detail column will tell you the Income Account Map ID that was selected. Update or add any necessary Account Mapping
Once Account Mapping has been updated, run Accounts Receivable Close again
Income Account Maps The following records are incorrectly mapped. Income Account Maps _____ Account is required. Please set a valid Account value:
Income Account Maps require all fields to have an Active Account set
Click the edit pencil next to the IncomeMapID designated in the error message
Set an Active Account on the field(s) where there is no Account set
You can click the column header (i.e. Income Account, COGS Account, etc.) and filter to No Value to find other Income Account Maps that need to be updated
Once all Income Account Maps have valid Accounts set on all fields, run Accounts Receivable Close
Can not close the selected Companies at the same time:
All End of Day processes, when run with multiple selections, require the current Close Dates to be identical
If Company 1 is closed through 12/31 and Company 2 is closed through 1/1, they cannot be closed at the same time
Run Accounts Receivable Close for the Company with the least current Close Date through the most current Close Date (in the above example, run Accounts Receivable Close for Company 1 for 1/1)
Once Close Dates are aligned, you can run the End of Day process for multiple Companies at the same time
