Encompass Sidebar and Header

Steps

Tour the Encompass Sidebar


A) Navigating to dashboards in the sidebar:

Use the Encompass sidebar to navigate to all your most important pages in the system

  1. The top section of the sidebar is reserved for Primary Dashboards. These are dashboards that have been set as the primary pages for your role (set on the DashboardsRoles.PrimaryPosition field).

  2. Below the primary dashboards are all other dashboards you can access, grouped by category
    ​
    a) Any pages you have favorited will appear in the very top category called 'Favorites'
    ​
    b) if the Show Hidden Dashboard Setting is turned off (default), you will only see dashboards that you have visited in the last 60 days included in this list. If it is turned on, you will see all dashboards that your role has permission to visit. This setting is found in the Page menu (see step 2 of Page Menu below)

    c) For users with SharedDashboardEdit permission, if the 'Show unshared dashboards' option is turned on, then the menu will also show dashboards that have not yet been shared with your role. You can use this to browse other dashboards and decide if they should be added to your role or other's roles via the Dashboard Roles.

B) Page Menu:

The Page menu at the top of the sidebar holds options for the current page and the sidebar settings

  1. Click the three dot (⋮) menu in the top right corner of the sidebar to open the Page menu
    ​
    ​

  2. Change view settings for the sidebar
    ​
    a) Lock the sidebar open or set it to auto-collapse
    ​
    b) Refresh
    ​
    c) Set which dashboards are shown or hidden
    ​
    ​

  3. Take the following actions for the current page
    ​
    ​

  4. See performance information about the current page at the bottom
    ​
    ​

C) User Menu:

Open the User menu at the bottom of the page to access actions and information related to your user account

  1. Click the profile section at the bottom of the sidebar to open the User menu
    ​
    ​

  2. Click Profile to go to the My Profile dashboard and view or update account information such as time zone, phone number, connecting to single sign-on, or setting a new password
    ​
    ​

  3. Click Switch Sites to switch to other Encompass sites you can access
    ​
    ​

  4. Log Out

Tour the System Header

  1. The left side of the system header displays the name of the dashboard you’re currently on
    ​
    ​

  2. Use the universal seach bar to search for any dashboard or table by name as well as customers, products, users, and invoices
    ​
    ​

  3. At the far right are all system buttons, such as eChat, RemindMe, Bev AI chatbot, Dialer and Help Resources
    ​
