What is a Custom Table?

Encompass has hundreds of tables that are part of the core software solution. Sometimes a business might find a need to store a set of data in a table that doesn't exist as part of that core solution; this is where Custom Tables come in. Launch the Create a Custom Table Help Resource to walk through the process of creating your own tables to meet your business needs.

  • Change the Default Records Shown

  • Delete the Custom Table

  • Modify Add/Edit/Delete Permissions

And modify Column Properties:

  • Column Name

  • Data Type

Best Practices

  • Use integers over strings for unique keys

  • Use the smallest data type possible for each field
