Pick Rules Overview

1. Using Universal search, navigate to the Pick Rules table.

Note: Pick Rules are separated by location. No Pick Rules should have the same priority and the same location.

Note: If a Pick Rule match is found, the system will look at the Bin Zone attached to that Pick Rule to make sure there is an active Bin Inventory for the Product(s). If the product Bin inventories are active and the product is available to be picked from, the Pick Method attached to the Pick Rule will be used.

Four Tables that are tied to Pick Rules

  • Pick Rules are tied to four tables within Encompass. "Pick Rules", "Pick Methods", "Load Groups", and "Pallet Type".

  • Order of Operations:

Pick Rule

↳ Pick Method

↳ Load Group

↳ Pallet Type

  • Creating Pick Rules Order of Operations:

  • Pick Methods

    - Pick Methods determine how you are building the pallets and how they are to be picked. They determine the Load Group that is used.

  • Load Groups

    - Load Groups determine how the load is loaded, how the pallet is confirmed, and if you print anything for confirming pallets. The Load Group also determines the Pallet Type.

  • Pallet Types

NOTE: Pallet type is the physical pallet the products will be built on. The Pallet type is determined by the load group.
