Installing Encompass Mobile - Android

Driver/rep steps to download and install Encompass Mobile on an Android device from your Encompass site, allow unknown-app installs, then log in and sync. Requires v22.01+.

Pre-Conditions

  • Must have an active user record in Encompass.

  • Must have the Everyone permission.

  • Must have an internet connection.

Steps

How to install Encompass Mobile on Android

1. Using a browser on the Android device, navigate to your Company's Encompass site and log in
​
2. Tap Encompass Mobile in the left-hand Navigation Menu
​
3. Select the Install Encompass Mobile [version] link.

​ NOTE: Select the Default version if multiple versions are displayed
​
4. Click Download on the confirmation message to download the file.

​5. If prompted "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source."
​
a. Tap Settings (device settings).
​
b. Select the internet browser used to download. Toggle on Allow from this source.
​
​ c. Tap the back arrow.
​
d. Tap Install.
​
6. Once Install is complete, tap Open.
​
7. After Encompass Mobile opens, accept permission prompts and select a language.
​
8. Type your Company Name in the search bar to find the Encompass Server URL. (URL will populate to be selected after typing Encompass ID).

9. Enter Username and Password then tap Sync.
​
10. Tap Home

Note: Because Encompass Mobile is downloaded outside of the Google Play Store, your device may give you a warning that it is an Unknown or Untrusted app. To allow your device to download the app on most devices, go to: Settings-> Special App Access-> Install Unknown Apps
