Steps

Accounts Receivable Data Model

  1. The Credit Terms table is the key determiner of how AR behaves and is collected. The Credit Term is set on the AR Account or Split Invoice. Click here for more information on setting up Credit Terms.

  2. AR Accounts are the entities responsible for paying your company. They can be the same entity as the customer, represent a chain of businesses, or can be set on a split invoice if a given product group has a different payer than that of the customer. Each customer must have an AR Account. Click here for more information on setting up AR Accounts.

  3. Statement Groups are groups of AR Accounts that share similar Statement setups. They can share the same Statement Template and can be set up to get statements automatically. For example, some AR Accounts prefer a physical statement while others prefer email, so you would have a group for each. Click here for more information on setting up Statement Groups.
