Steps

The App Library is a collection of apps that accomplish various functions such as automating business processes, improving security and data cleanliness, partner integrations, and plenty of other extensions that can be added to your Encompass site.

Most of the apps in the App Library are free to install, and any paid apps will incur a monthly fee for that individual app once installed. A description of each app and its components can be viewed in the App Library and app's price is displayed on the upper right corner.

By default, the App Library lists all of the apps, and can be searched and sorted in various ways using the options at the top of the page.

After clicking on a single App, details about the App will be displayed, including the various components in the system that make it function, and a short description of it's purpose.

When installing an App:

  • You are granting access for those components to run on your system.

  • If those components included 3rd party APIs, it is granting that 3rd party provider access to push/pull data from your system using those APIs.

  • You can click on the '## API Commands' component when viewing a single App to get addtional information on the APIs you are granting access for.

Best Practices

  • Review the components on each App before installing it (by clicking them), particularly for Apps for 3rd party providers to ensure they are getting access to the information you expect.
