Distributor Tab FAQ

Overview
The Distributors tab is where you are able to manage your distributors and product linking to Encompass distributor sites. Once you have all of your global products created in PIM you will want to utilize this tab. Ensuring proper linking makes your reporting accurate and also ensures that the branding information you created in PIM maps to the correct local products in distributor sites.

Q: How do I link a distributor product to a global product?

A: Assuming that the global product has been created in PIM or already exists you can click on a distributor, navigate to the products section and click either "manage link" or "new link" to accomplish this. "New link" is where you establish a new link between a distributor product and a global product. "Edit Link" is where you can manage the already existing links between global products and distributor products. If there is not a global product to link to, a product will need to be created in PIM before this can be done. Ensure that you are conscious of the package and vintage if you want reporting to reflect correctly.

Q: I am having trouble correcting a misaligned link with "edit link"?

A: Please contact Encompass support from the support dashboard on the left-hand side and an analyst will receive the task. From here an analyst will work to correct the linking on their end. Please be specific and provide an example of the issue.
