Promotion Override Rules:

1. All Rules

  • A promotion with override level of 'All Rules' would allow the mobile device user to apply to a Product any active promotion in the system currently associated with said Product and that customer, regardless of Start/End Date and Num Units filters.

2. Min Num Units

  • A promotion with override level of 'Min Num Units' would allow a mobile device user to apply that promotion to an item for a customer where that customer meets all the qualifications of the promotion except for the minimum number of units (quantity discount). For example, Customer C is set up to receive a $2 discount D on product P if they purchase 10 units on an invoice. The invoice has ordered only 8 units, so the system did not automatically apply discount D to product P. However, if discount D was set to Override Level 'Min Num Units', a mobile device user would be able to apply discount D manually for Product P on that invoice.

3. No Override To

  • A promotion with an override level of 'No Override To' indicates that the user cannot override to that promotion on the mobile device, regardless of other options and qualifications.

4. No Override From

  • A promotion with override level of 'No Override From' indicates that the user cannot override to any other promotion except for that one. With this, the user can select either that promotion or no promotion.
