Reporting- Reporting FAQ

-Why is some of my data within a report displaying as 'Products Not Mapped'?

-> "Products Not Mapped" displayed because there are products in a distributor's site that are not linked to the global database (DSDLink). The recommended solution is to use the distributors tab to link global products created in PIM to the corresponding local products in the distributor site. Once the links are set the data will display in the reporting tab as you have created the data in PIM. This is especially helpful when running a report across multiple distributors at once, you will not see duplicate products since all local distributor products are mapped to 1globalproduct. Ultimately this workflow will help to mitigate discrepancies and will make reporting cleaner for export.

Another solution that does not require product mapping is to utilize the filter "Unmapped Product Behavior" and set it to "Display Distributor Data". When you run a report with this filter, displayed will be the names of the products as the distributor has them in their individual site. Product names can vary greatly from distributor to distributor, so keep that in mind. Using this workflow will cause some duplicates and likely some discrepancies when running a report across multiple distributors at once. Local product names will be indicated with a "*" by the product names. Products with no "*" are already linked to the global database. Please check the distributors tab for linking accuracy.

-What are Filters?

-> Filters in CDR are very similar to any other reporting software or data management software. Filters allow you to sort through and display only the selected data that you want to see. i.e. only 1 distributor, 3 different product packages

-What are Columns?

-> Columns are where you can manipulate how you want your data to display. Parent, Child, and Detail is the hierarchy with Detail being the most granular and Parent being the most broad. You have the ability to customize these columns by clicking and dragging the different fields to the location that you want them. You can also do this further down on the screen and change the Values that you see in the report.

-My Exported files are displayed differently than what is in CDR?

-> When exporting data, Excel export tends to work best for more complex and layered reports. CSV downloads can have issues populating as CSV formatting can struggle with complexlayered reports.

- I have a report that I like, how do I save it for future reference?

-> You have the ability to save a report. Just click "Save Report As" and you can then categorize it how you would like. You can save the report under your user or another user within your company that currently has access. Saved Reports can then be accessed for later use under the "Saved Reports" category at the bottom of the Reporting tab.

-I want a report with a more specificdaterange than is offered in the drop down, how do I do this?

-> You can create a "New Report" and this will allow you to set a specific date range i.e. June 5th -> June 13th
