Steps
Routes Types are how routes function for Picking, Cut-Off Time, Bin & Load Sheet Types.
Route Type Fields and Definitions
*Order Cut-Off Time - Enforces a cut-off time for selling. After the set cut-off time, Load Sheets are automatically updated to the Locked for Routing status.
Note: This will force any new invoices or invoice changes to sync to Import Conflicts. (Users with the InvoiceEditRouting permission can still import invoices after the cut-off time).
*Initial Status - Determines the status of the Load Sheet when it is initially generated. (Scheduled Routes are generated in the new status; however, some routes need to generate in a status other than new).
Example: Route Type of Mail in Checks initial status is Returned
*LS Bin Type - Indicates the type of bin the Route will use. (Route Num / Vehicle Trailer Bin / User Bin / Manual Route Bin).
Note: The Route Type will default to LS bin Type = 1) Route Num when creating a new Route Type. (This means the Bin will be the same as the Route Num on the Route).
If no Bin that matches the Route Num exists, Encompass will automatically make one upon creating a Route.
Encompass will look for a Route Bin in the following order:
1. Route Bin
2. Vehicle’s Trailer Bin
3. User Bin
4. Locations Bin
*LS Type - Indicates the type of Load Sheet used for the Route (The LS Type is selected on the Route Type ONLY).
Note: There is no LS Type Table. Users can see which LS Type is being used in two ways: From the Route Type on the Route or The Load Sheet itself.
Load Sheet types have special logic behind them to perform a specific function. Load Sheet Types where Plans can be generated: Scheduled/Empty: In Find Route Logic → Find existing where Route Type’s LS type = Scheduled/Empty. Multiple Load Sheets can be generated per route, per day
Note: In ECP 18.05+ Encompass will no longer look for events where LS Type = Empty but multiple Load Sheets can still be generated per route, per day.
Inventory Adjustments: Used for Inventory Counts in Non-WMS locations.
Off-Day: Per day, only one Load Sheet can be created per location
Imported: Load Sheets created from an EDBL Import
Bill and Ship: Will only create one Load Sheet per Route. These load sheets are checked during the Bill & Ships process.
Transfer Planner: Load Sheets created using the Transfer Planner Tool
Load Sheet Types where Plans will NOT be generated:
Sales Receipts: When Salesmen add a payment invoice on handheld, will create a Salesmen Receipts Load Sheet and set it as returned.
Remittance: When EFT/ACH/820 remittance invoice is imported, a new remittance Load Sheet is created. Setting 342 will be used to update the Load Sheet to ‘Balanced’ status.
Mail-in Checks: Are manually created on Mail-In Checks Route. The load Sheet’s initial Status is set as Returned.
Customer Rebates: Create one Load Sheet for a month for Rebates Promotions on Rebate Route. (Example: Load Sheet 3/1 will be created for promotions in February).
Statement Charge: Used in conjunction with Monthly Billing Frequency.
FIFO Adjustment: Load Sheets are created to correct inventory costing when products are sold in a FIFO layer prior to confirmation of the Purchase.
Price Correction: Used when making price adjustments without affecting inventory. The total Case Quantity on the Load Sheet must equal zero.
Opening Inventory: Created during the initial data conversion to import inventory from the previous RAS/WMS software.
