Steps

Reopen upstream Production Stages to correct Production Component batch assignments

Why:This data correction may be needed to retain accurate batch tracing or product costing.

1. From a reopened Production Order, click ‘Save Changes'

2. Click the ‘Undo’ option next to the stage status to revert back to the previous status

3. Reverting a stage back to its previous status has the following effects:

NOTE: There are additional Production Stage statuses not covered here when staging materials.

  • Reverting to In Process from Completed - Removes the stage’s Completed Units. Retains Production Components batch assignment, but allows the updating of batch assignment.

  • Reverting to New from In Process - Un-assigns Production Components and puts Production Components back into inventory.

Best Practices

  • Production Stages must be reopened in reverse sequential order due to the downstream impact of Production Component consumption.
