Linking a Mobile Item to Encompass Mobile

Distributor steps for adding a button (mobile link) to an Encompass Mobile screen that opens another mobile item, with layout and order. Needs ClientEdit permission and existing mobile items; v22.01+.

  • The To and From Mobile Items must already be created on the Mobile Items table. Creating a Mobile Item.

Steps

How to Add A Mobile Link

1. Navigate to the Mobile Links table using the universal search bar.

2. Click Add Mobile Links.

​3. From Mobile Item: This is the Mobile Item that the button will display on. Ex. Home - Encompass Mobile to display the link on the Home screen.

4. To Mobile Item: This is the Mobile Item the user will be redirected to when selecting the button.

5. Grid Layout: Where the button will display on the From Mobile Item.
​
6. Sequence: Order that Mobile Links are displayed
​
7. Click Add Record.

*Note: The "Default" Mobile Application cannot be edited. See Custom Mobile Applications.

Best Practices

  • Only include Mobile Links that are relevant for the user accessing the associated Mobile Application. For example, remove the Warehouse Mobile Link for Sales Reps and Delivery Reps.
