Pre-Conditions
Dynamic Pick Bin Zone and Bins created
Decided which products are going to be dynamically picked
Steps
Part One: Creating the Dynamic Pick Bin:
Search Bin Zones
Click "Add Bin Zones"
Enter a Dynamic Pick Bin Zone name
Set the Bin Zone type as "Pick"
All other fields can be left as the default values
Click "Add Record"
Click the "Subtables" button and select "Bins"
Click "Add Bins"
This will be the Dynamic Pick Bin. Enter in a Name, Location, and Capacity for the Bin
Click "Add Record"
Repeat steps 8-10 to add more bins if needed
Part Two: Decide how you will designate which products are going to be Dynamic Picked:
Option 1: Product Pick Type: Chose this option if you would like these set products to be dynamically picked. This can also be combined with Bin Zone or Route as well.
Search for Product Pick Types
Click "Add Product Pick Type"
Enter a name for the Product Pick Type
If you want all of a ProductType to be Dynamically Picked, search for the Product Types Table. Otherwise, skip to step 7
Find the Product Type you want to be Dynamically Picked and edit the record
Change the product Pick Type to be the new Product Pick Type that was created in step 3
If you just want to designate specific products instead of a product type, search for the "Inventory" table
Filter to the Products you would like to be Dynamically Picked
Click "Columns" to add the "Product Pick Type" column
Click "show all records" at the bottom of the page
Click on the Product Pick Type column and click "Edit Column"
Swap the top record to the newly created Product Pick Type
Click on the "Product Pick Type" column again and click "Fill Down"
Click "Save Records"
Option 2: Bin Zone - Choose this option if you would like a specific Bin Zone to be dynamically picked. This can also be combined with a Product Pick Type or Route Type as well.
Note: You can make multiple Pick Rules in Part Three if you would like to have multiple Bin Zones Dynamically Picked. This just requires you to decide which Bin Zone you want to be Dynamically Picked or create a new Bin Zone and edit the Bins in that Bin Zone that you want to be Dynamically Picked.
Part Three: Creating the Pick Rules -
Search for "Pick Rules"
Filter to the Location you are going to be Dynamically Picking at
Review the Pick Rules to determine priority. Your new Pick Rule should be larger in priority than your normal Pick Rule process.
Find the Pick Rule that it would normally hit and note the Priority
Click "Add Pick Rules"
In the "Priority" field, enter in a higher priority (lower number) than the Pick Rule you found in step 3
Enter in a Route Type if you only want a specific Route Type to be Dynamically picked
Enter in the new Product Pick Type if you set one up in the previous part
Set Minimum Cases or Pick Unit if you only want to Dynamically Pick under those conditions
Enter in the Bin Zone you want to Dynamically Pick from if you want to designate Dynamicallly Picked products to a Bin Zone
Set Pick Method to how you would like the product to be picked
Set the Dynamic Pick Line Bin Zone to your newly created Dynamic Pick Bin Zone
Repeat steps 3-11 for any additional Bin Zones you would like to Dynamically Pick From
The setup for Dynamic Pick is now complete. Below will briefly run down what the warehouse will see:
Part Four: The Warehouse Process -
For the person who is gathering the product to be Dynamically Picked:
Go to the Warehouse section of Encompass Mobile
Tap "Directed Replenishment"
Find the Move Task for Dynamic Pick
Complete the Move Task like any other Replenishment. It should say to pick from your designated Bin Zones or Products to the Dynamic Pick Bin
The Pickers:
The Picker's process will remain the same, except for when they have the Dynamically Picked products on their pallet, they will instead be directed to the Dynamic Pick Bin
