What is a Hot Shot?
A Hot Shot order is an invoice that is to be delivered on the same day or the next day.
Setting up a Hot Shot Route requires setting up User Bins for all users that may deliver a Hot Shot invoice and setting up a Route to be selected when adding invoices.
How to setup Hot Shot Routes
User Bins: This bin will be used on the Load Sheet to keep inventory separate and unique to each user that creates a Hot Shot. There needs to be a User Bin for every user who will ever run a Hot Shot Invoice. Set up the User Bin: Add a Bin to each User record under the column “Route Bins.”
1. Using Universal Search, navigate to the Users table
2. Apply filters to the Column Headers for the users who are running your Hot Shot Routes.
TIP: We recommend filtering by Role to Deliverymen or Salesmen to make sure these users have their own Bin for loading purposes
a. Click Role
b. Search for a role (such as Deliveryman/Salesman) then click Go
c. Click Columns then click/check Route Bin and click Create View
d. Click on Route Bin and Edit Column
e. Select either your user's standard route's bin (i.e A user running Route 201 normally would select 201) or a Bin using their own name or click Save Changes
3. Search for Route Types on the universal search bar
a. Search for Routes on the universal search if there are existing Route Types
b. Our Hot Shot Route(s) should have a Route Type of Hot Shot (which you just created or edited), Frequency=Manual, and Activity=Delivery. Edit as needed
4. Search for System Settings on the universal search bar
a. Search for 134 under Application Setting ID and click Filter Results
b. You can choose to have all off-day invoices automatically go to the off-day route, or have your Salesman select which routes. You can also limit their selection to routes with manual Frequency (i.e., the Hot Shot Routes).
c. Click Save Changes
