Steps
How to use Convert to Fusion
The Convert to Fusion feature enables you to transform a Comparison report into a Fusion Report. Comparison reports utilize predefined fields and tables, providing you with a selection of values, groupings, and filters however, there are limitations. Instead of starting from scratch in Fusion, convert your existing Comparison report to a Fusion report to pick up where you left off.
Begin by creating as much of the report as possible in the Comparison report builder using the available predefined data. Then, use the Convert to Fusion button to add any additional information, filters, joins, and other elements not available in the Comparison report builder.
1. Navigate to a saved Comparison report or create a new Comparison report
2. Run the report and click the Convert to Fusion button at the top
3. Click the Fusion Edit button to begin editing
4. Save the new report
Questions to consider:
What additional information do I need?
Which table is this information in?
How does my information connect (join) together?
How do I want to view this information in a report?
Best Practices
It is important to be mindful that after you share a Fusion report, it will not respect the shared user’s permissions unless you include User Array filters. Please be aware of the data that you are sharing, and that the person you’re sharing with should have access to view that data.
Not all Comparison Reports have the Convert to Fusion button, even with the appropriate permissions at the Role or User level. Examples of reports that are not available to convert to Fusion include Survey and Product reports.
Check the Report Library before creating your own reports from scratch.
Start reports in Comparison and convert to Fusion when possible. This saves time and limits the possibility of joining data incorrectly.
